As well as achieving the very highest technical standards, also initiates and organises events which create new horizons in many fields of music, such as the world-renowned "Münchner Klaviersommer" (Munich Piano Summer).
LOFT is also co-producer of challenging performances at other European music festivals such as Salzburger Festspiele, Herbstliche Musiktage Bad Urach, Kissinger Sommer, Richard-Strauss-Festspiele Garmisch-Partenkirchen et al.

- to bridge the gap between light and serious music.
- to find a connection between composed and improvised music, thus opening up the possibility for spontaneous development and invention.
- to break up the rites of conventional concerts and TV-programmes in order to allow the average person to attend without prejudice - the effect is that the listener is not only the consumer of the music but becomes a partner of the musician.
